The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) conducts the State Service Examination (SSE) every year to recruit officers for various administrative posts in Madhya Pradesh. MPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2026

The MPPSC Preliminary Examination consists of two objective type papers. Both papers are conducted on the same day and each paper has a duration of 2 hours.

Negative Marking in MPPSC Prelims

MPPSC introduced negative marking in the preliminary examination from 2025 onwards.

Marking Scheme

• Correct Answer → +3 Marks
• Wrong Answer → –1 Mark

Marking Formula

Final Score = (3 × Number of Correct Answers) – (1 × Number of Wrong Answers)

Where:

• R = Number of Correct Answers
• W = Number of Wrong Answers

So the formula becomes:

(3R – W) = Final Marks

Important Rule from Official Notification

प्रत्येक प्रश्नपत्र में 3–3 अंकों के 100 प्रश्न होंगे। प्रत्येक प्रश्नपत्र की समयावधि 2 घंटे होगी। परीक्षा में ऋणात्मक मूल्यांकन (3R – W) = प्राप्तांक पद्धति से होगा। जहाँ

R = सही उत्तरों की संख्या
W = गलत उत्तरों की संख्या होगी।

प्रत्येक सही उत्तर के लिए 3 अंक प्रदान किए जाएंगे एवं प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए 1 अंक काटा जाएगा।

Negative Marking Rule in MPPSC Prelims

• प्रत्येक प्रश्नपत्र में 100 प्रश्न होंगे।
• प्रत्येक प्रश्न 3 अंक का होगा।
• परीक्षा की समयावधि 2 घंटे होगी।
• परीक्षा में ऋणात्मक अंकन (Negative Marking) लागू होगा।
• पेपर 2 (CSAT) केवल क्वालीफाइंग होता है। फिर भी 40 % नंबर पेपर 2 में लाने  होंगे |
• पेपर 2 में योग्य होने पर ही पेपर 1 का मूल्यांकन किया जाता है।

Marking Formula:

प्राप्तांक = (3 × सही उत्तर) – (1 × गलत उत्तर)

अर्थात:

• सही उत्तर → +3 अंक
• गलत उत्तर → –1 अंक

Example (To Understand Negative Marking)

If a candidate attempts 80 questions and:

• 60 answers are correct
• 20 answers are wrong

Then score will be:

(3 × 60) – (1 × 20)
= 180 – 20
= 160 marks

MPPSC प्रारंभिक परीक्षा की तैयारी के लिए:

1. सबसे पहले MPPSC सिलेबस को अच्छे से समझें।

2. बुनियादी समझ के लिए NCERT पुस्तकों का अध्ययन करें।

6. आधारभूत संख्ययन (संख्याएँ एवं उनके संबंध, विस्तार क्रम आदि- दसवीं कक्षा का स्तर), आँकड़ों का निर्वचन (चार्ट, ग्राफ तालिका, आँकड़ों की पर्याप्तता आदि-दसवीं कक्षा का स्तर) ।
7. हिन्दी भाषा में बोधगम्यता कौशल (दसवीं कक्षा का स्तर) ।

टिप्पणी – दसवीं कक्षा के स्तर के हिन्दी भाषा के बोधगम्यता कौशल से संबंधित प्रश्नों का परीक्षण, प्रश्नपत्र में केवल हिन्दी भाषा के उद्धरणों के माध्यम से, अँग्रेजी अनुवाद उपलब्ध कराए बिना किया जाएगा।

Note- Question related to Hindi Language Comprehension skill will be of Class X level and will be tested through passages from Hindi language only without providing English Translation thereof in the question paper.
